The Belgian wire-works BEKAERT acquired SFI (turnover of USD 58.3 million in 2000 with 24 employees), the speciality film branch from the American company MSC - MATERIAL SCIENCES CORPORATION, one of the world leaders in the manufacturing and distribution of solar control and safety window films, for USD 122 million in cash.
