Brussels, 11/06/2001 (Agence Europe) - Experts of the European Banking Federation (EBF) have revised their growth revisions downward for the euro zone. They state it will be 2.4% in 2001 and 2.7% in 2002. "The forecasts of the European Central Bank (ECB) to be published in a few days' time, should reflect the deterioration of the economic situation in Europe (…)", noted the EBF on Monday. It has forecast upward inflation, with 2.3% in 2001 and 1.9% in 2002.
