Gabaglio welcomes results of Council on worker consultation

Brussels, 11/06/2001 (Agence Europe) - "Speaking of the obligation to inform and consult workers in all European companies", the Council gave an important signal to workers who expressed concern about the "summary and frankly unacceptable" behaviour of company management in the event of closure and industrial restructuring, said Emilio Gabaglio, General Secretary of the European Trade Union Confederation. He was commenting on the results of the Social Affairs Council on Monday (see above)....
