Socialist Group asks Commission for declaration on cohesion

Brussels, 07/06/2001 (Agence Europe) - The Bureau of the Party of European Socialists (PES) at the European Parliament has asked the Commission to make, in September, a "declaration on economic and social cohesion in the context of the enlargement of the European Union". It stresses that this request "is made in full compliance with the second report drawn up by Commissioner Barnier" on cohesion.
