Commission hopes that OPEC avoids further rise in oil prices after ending of Iraqi crude oil supplies

Brussels, 05/06/2001 (Agence Europe) - We are counting of the wisdom of OPEC to avoid a further increase in oil prices after the decision by Iraq to suspend its production for one month, stated on Tuesday Gilles Gantelet, spokesperson for the European Commissioner for energy, Loyola de Palacio.
