05/06/2001 (Agence Europe) - According to codecision procedure, the Council will proceed to the final adoption of the amendment to the 1992 Directive on tyres for motor vehicles and their trailers as well as their fitting and assembly. Revision of this directive is mainly aimed at reducing the noise of cars on the road (see other article, p.14).
