05/06/2001 (Agence Europe) - Roger Hawksworth was nominated Secretary General of the European Association of Aerospace Industries (AECMA) and took up his duties on 1 June. Until now he has been Managing Director of BAE Systems. AECMA represents 16 national associations from the aerospace industry and major European groups in the sector (Airbus, EADS, Lucas aerospace, Dassault aviation etc.) with the European institutions.
