Brussels, 05/06/2001 (Agence Europe) - At next week's plenary session in Strasbourg, the Swedish Presidency and European Commission will brief the European Parliament, on 13 June, on the European Council of Gothenburg, two days before the beginning of the summit. Among the main topics for the session will be moreover, also on Wednesday, human rights in the world, the setting up of a European Agency for Shipping Safety, oil supplies in the EU, whereas on Monday Parliament will discuss the fight against trafficking in human beings and the sexual exploitation of children and, on Tuesday, especially the future European Food authority (see EUROPE of 2 June, p.10 for the decisions of the Internal Market Council). Here is the detailed agenda, subject to changes:
Monday 11 June (from 17.00 to 21.00 hrs.)
