PUBMASTER, which has a 40% stake in the German bank WESTLB, has made a hostile bid for W&D WOLVERHAMPTON AND DUDLEY BREWERIES PLC ("Bank's" and "Pedigree" make of beer: 1,1770 pubs) at 480 pence a share. The offer values W&D at £453 million.
