Further meeting seeking to save the Kyoto Protocol could be held in Stockholm on 22-23 May

Stockholm, 24/04/2001 (Agence Europe) - Kjell Larsson, President of the EU Environment Council, announced on Monday that the Swedish Presidency could soon host a meeting during which discussions would cover a draft United Nations compromise on the Kyoto Protocol. According to Reuters, the minister said it is "probable the meeting will take place in Stockholm on May 22-23 and the idea is that the United States will be there" (see yesterday's EUROPE pages 12 and 13 on the subject of informal...
