24/04/2001 (Agence Europe) - According to a poll conducted by the Slovene agency Ninamedia and published in the paper Dnevnik, 48.2% of Slovenes are in favour of their country joining the EU, 36.1% are against and 15.7% don't know. Regarding membership of NATO, 47.7% are in favour, 25.6% against and 26.7 don't know. You may recall that Slovenia is in the leading group of countries candidates for accession.
