ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) satellites

According to The Wall Street Journal, the Luxembourg operator SES - SOCIETE EUROPEENNE DE SATELLITES (turnover EUR 836 million in 2000), which provides a service to 20 million homes in Europe, is to buy up the activities of GE-GENERAL ELECTRIC satellite services for the sum of $5 billion.
