- United Kingdom: The British government has chosen the British consortium AIRLINE GROUP for the partial privatisation of the air traffic control system NATS - NATIONAL AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL SERVICES. The consortium composed of eight airline companies including BA - BRITISH AIRWAYS, VIRGIN ATLANTIC and BRITISH MIDLAND, EASYJET has gained the support of BT - BRITISH TELECOMMUNICATIONS and of the Irish Aviation Authority (IAA).
