Commission grants additional EUR 3 million to earthquake victims in India

Brussels, 01/02/2001 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has decided to make an additional EUR 3 million available in humanitarian aid for victims of the earthquake in India. Financed by ECHO (European Community Humanitarian Office), the amount comes in addition to the EUR 10 million made available as soon as the disaster was announced (see EUROPE of 29 and 30 January, p.9).
