The US financial group GATX CAPITAL has strengthened its position in the aeronautical leasing trade by acquiring 50% of the Irish company PEMBROKE, an aircraft hire company with 145 aircraft available corresponding to $853 million in assets in June 2000. The other half of the capital is in the hands of British motor company ROLLS-ROYCE.
