Sasol's takeover of Condea cleared

Brussels, 01/02/2001 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has decided to allow the South African group Sasol to take over Condea, company that pools the chemicals activities of the German firm RWE-DEA, specialised in public utilities services and energy. The activities in question comprise the assets located in Germany, operating companies in Italy and the Netherlands, shares in sales subsidiaries in France, Spain and Belgium, well as several non-European companies.
