Commission authorises Dutch aid for linking industrial sites to canals

Brussels, 01/02/2001 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission authorises the Netherlands to extend by three years (2001-2003) its subsidy system for linking specific industrial sites to inland waterways in the Netherlands. With a budget of NLG 20 million (EUR 3.16 million) over three years, this "SBV" system (Subsidieregeling bedrijfsgebonden vaarwegaansluitingen voor de binnenvaart) is intended to improve coordination of the different kinds of transport.
