The Italian holding company IFIL, which belongs to the Agnelli family, has taken over full control of the ALPITOUR tour operator (accumulated turnover around 2 billion lira in 2000 with 1.2 million clients), the largest Italian package tour operator. It increased its stake from 56.5% to 100% by taking over the shares held by BLUFINT (Isoardi family), worth around 200 billion lira.
