Revised FIFA proposal on transfer of football players, technical meeting with European Commission services slides to end of January

Brussels, 11/01/2001 (Agence Europe) - The International Football Federation (FIFA) drew-up a revised document on the rules applicable to football player transfers. For the main, FIFA confirms its previous position (see EUROPE of 30 December, p5), but with a few adjustments to take into account the observations formulated both by other sporting organisations concerned (UEFA, regrouping the European Federations, and the FIFPRO, representing the players) as by the Commission services.
