The Greek manufacturer of salted biscuits CHIPITA has taken over ZAO ELDI AND ZAC KRASNOSELSKAYA, a Russia industrial baking plant based in St. Petersburg in view of extending its activities in Eastern Europe. It is to pay $9 million and is considering investing an additional $6 million to launch its production of industrial croissants.
