11/01/2001 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission authorised the acquisition of Block Drug by the British company SmithKline Beecham. The activities of the parties overlap for several products in the sectors of health and dental hygiene, but there exists sufficient competitive pressure. The Commission also authorised the Belgian airport services company Aviapartner to take a stake in Novia, a Scandinavian company for stopover assistance, the operation does not raise any competition...
