According to Duff, the decision taken in Nice on the distribution of seats in the EP should be the subject of a complaint to the Court of Justice

Brussels, 10/01/2001 (Agence Europe) - British Liberal-Democrat Andrew Duff said that the distribution of seats in the European Parliament in an enlarged European Union was contrary to Article 190 of the Treaty of Rome - which states that the allocation of seats should ensure an adequate representation of the people of the States making up the Community - and that it should therefore be the subject of a complaint to the Court of Justice of the communities.
