Brussels, 10/01/2001 (Agence Europe) - Europeans and Americans were meeting in Washington on Wednesday to resume their vehement talks over the public funding of the new large Airbus carrier (see EUROPE of 29 and 30 December). This meeting, which covers all the transatlantic disputes, had in fact been scheduled a while back in the framework of consultations established by the 1992 bilateral agreement on State aid to the construction of civilian aircraft.
