Sweden's VOLVO is considering discarding its stake in the Japanese MMC - MITSUBIISHI MOTORS on condition that DAIMLERCHRYSLER increases its own to take a majority stake in three years, according to the German press. The German-American group has had a 34% stake in MMC since October and holds an option to increase its stake in three years and become the majority shareholder.
