Brussels, 09/01/2001 (Agence Europe) - Presenting in Paris the conclusions of work by the Committee on equal opportunities for men and women of the Council of Europe's Parliamentary Assembly on "domestic slavery" (rapporteur: Ireland's Connor, EPP/CD), former French Minister for Equality (and former MEP), Yvette Roudy, the Committee's chair, drew attention to the fact that reflection on domestic slavery could not be broached outside broader reflection on the trafficking in human beings.
