- Argentina: The Argentinean Ministry for Trade puts at $126 bn the amount of investments by foreign firms in Argentina, between 1990 and 1999. Of the ten top companies in the country, today 67 are of foreign origin and achieve 70.3% of total turnover. Although the United States remains the foremost foreign investor will an accumulated flow of $47.3 bn, Spain has strengthened its position as second partner with $32.9 bn and France has made a large breakthrough to third place with $10.2 bn.
