ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) telecommunications

VODAFONE has raised its stake in AIRTEL from 21.7% to 73.8%, acquiring the 30.4% owned by BSCH and minority shares. The British operator traded 3.75% of its own capital, worth USD 8.4 billion, in the deal. The other shareholders are BT (17.8%), ACCIONA (5.4%) and TORREAL (3%).
