Brussels, 04/01/2001 (Agence Europe) - The Chairman of Air France, Jean-Cyril Spinetta, will head the Association of European Airlines (AEA) in 2001. The Association promotes the cause of the European airline industry at the European institutions. He succeeds Xavier de Irala, the Chairman of Iberia. As announced in a press release, the new Chairman's priorities will be - the creation of a Single Sky to improve air traffic management in Europe; - an "Open Skies" agreement with the United States; - the unveiling of an "Airline Passenger Rights Commitment" on 10-11 May; - adopting Flight Duty and Rest Tim rules for cabin crews.
