Brussels, 06/11/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has closed its examination into the rules of origin that the United States applied to textiles and clothing products since the end of the multilateral Uruguay Round. It has, indeed, noted that the obstacles to trade denounced by the Italian industry had been lifted by an amendment to the American legislation in May that re-established the situation that certain products benefited from before then.
