EU satisfied at FRY's admission to the united Nations

Brussels, 06/11/2000 (Agence Europe) - On 3 November, the French Presidency made the following declaration on behalf of the EU:

"The EU very much welcomes the United Nations General Assembly's adoption of Resolution 55/12, admitting the FRY to the United Nations. Admission confirms the FRY's full compliance with the principles and values embodied in the United Nations Charter. It illustrates the determination of President Kostunica and the Yugoslav people to break with the dead-end policy...
