The Spanish government approved the acquisition of close to 70% of the capital of SAN MIGUEL by MAHOU, which already holds the remaining 30%, and the merger of the two groups with conditions. The enlarged MAHOU group, which will represent a turnover of EUR 600 million, should sell the 12% it holds in DAMM, third largest Spanish brewery as well as stakes held in several small distribution companies.
