Brussels, 30/10/2000 (Agence Europe) - The second letter of amendment for the budget 2001, that the Commission is to adopt on Tuesday, provides two important new aspects:
i) The Commission estimates this year's budgetary surplus at 900 million euro. This unused 900 million euro will be carried over to the budget 2001 as revenue.
