Commission approves finance plan for projects in Sweden under Objective 2

Brussels, 20/10/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has approved the proposed "Single Programming Documents" (SPDs) for the development of the Swedish regions of Norra, Västra, Södra and Öarna under Objective 2 (zones in industrial decline) of Union regional policy, for the period 2000-2006. Community aid will be EUR 423 million out of an investment total of EUR 1.5 billion. The new programmes should allow the creation or safeguard of 29,400 jobs and contribute to the creation...
