20/10/2000 (Agence Europe) - The Transnational Radical Party welcomed the rejection by the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) of the request to suspend the advisory status of the Party at the United Nations for three years. In a press release, the Radical Party speaks of a "vote without precedent", breaking the habit of consensus procedure, during which the request was rejected by 23 to 20 and 9 abstentions, thanks, it stresses, to the "mobilisation of western democracies"...
