Brussels, 20/10/2000 (Agence Europe) - The agenda of next week European Parliament's plenary session remains almost unchanged (for detailed agenda, see EUROPE of 19 October, pages 10 and 11). The Margie Sudre Report on the EU's outermost regions, however, will be discussed on Tuesday instead of Friday. In addition, the European Commission's Communication of Wednesday, at 17.00 hrs., will relate to exceptional Community financial assistance to Kosovo under Budget 2000 (you may recall that voting on Budget 2001 will take place Thursday morning: regarding the debate on the budget, see yesterday's EUROPE, pages 13 and 14).
There will also be a meeting between Nicole Fontaine and representatives of France's main religious communities - initiative taken by the President of the European Parliament to contribute to the

rapprochement between these communities following incidents caused in France by the confrontations between Israelis and Palestinians - which will be held on Wednesday.
Furthermore, in Strasbourg, Tuesday afternoon, French Defence Minister Alain Richard will meet the EP's Committee on Foreign Affairs, Human Rights, and Common Security and Defence Policy, chaired by Elmar Brok, on the occasion of discussions over the report by Catherine Lalumiere (French, Socialist Group) on European Security and Defence Policy (Esdp).
