18/10/2000 (Agence Europe) - During a recent meeting in Aachen, the representatives of specialised government agencies, the industries and scientists which work in the mining sector have decided to create, under the name "European Minerals RTD Council" (EniReC) a new body responsible for defining the priorities in terms of research in the mining sector. The national agencies, the industries, through the CECSO (coal) Euromines (minerals) and Euro-Roc (ornamental stones), as well as the Society of Mining Professors are taking part in this new structure whose first President will be the Frenchman Christian Fouillac (BRGM).
