The British pharmacy and beauty product chain BOOTS (turnover of GBP 5.18 billion in the 1999-2000 financial year) acquired the brand "Clearasil", worlds largest in anti-acne treatments, to the American PROCTER & GAMBLE, for USD 340 million. This brand registered a turnover of USD 137 million in the financial year ending 1999.
