Infringement proceedings against Germany over gas

Brussels, 11/10/2000 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday, the European Commission decided to open the first phase of infringement proceedings against Germany for failing to fully transpose the Community directive on liberalisation of the gas market. Germany has two months in which to react, before the Commission passes onto the second phase, that of reasoned opinion.
