Spain's TELEFONICA has concluded a definitive agreement for the purchase of the mobile phone subsidiaries of the American MOTOROLA in Mexico (see EI of 6 October), Brazil (or 36.3% of GLOBAL TELECOM), Israel (of 50% of PELEPHONE), the Dominican Republic (of 26.5% of TRICOM) and Honduras (25% of CELTEL), for $2.64 bn).
