Strasbourg, 11/10/2000 (Agence Europe) - Adopting the report by Lone Dybkjaer on the annual reports by the European Commission on equal opportunities between men and women in the EU in 1997, 1998 and 1999, the European Parliament invited the Commission to reinforce the "strategic" nature of its report and called for the establishment of "indicators" and investigative and comparative information procedures in order to enable for an viable assessment of the situation of women in the EU.
