First EIB facility in venture capital funds for development of Information Society

Luxembourg, 11/10/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Investment Bank has set up a facility for the financing of EUR 15 million for the development of young enterprises in the information technology sector in Jordan. Resources come from the Community budget managed by the EIB on behalf of the European Commission in the context of Euro-Mediterranean partnership. The EUR 15 million are for EIB investment in equity of local private companies in the Information Technology sector. A first...
