The Belgian group KBC has announced it was underwriting almost all the capital increase in WARTA (76 million zlotys net profit in 1999), Poland's second largest insurance company. It has concluded an agreement along these lines with the holing company KULCZYK, the company's reference shareholder, and should pay out some BEF 3 bn for the operation.
