Through its subsidiary DELI XL, the Dutch large shops group AHOLD has taken over the Belgian food services company MEA-DE WILDE-DE LOORE, which belonged to Britain's COMPASS. DELI XL's sales should climb to 900 million euro after the takeover, the cost of which has not been disclosed.
