ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) banks

The Belgian KBC ASSURANCES gained the authorisation from the Polish authorities to increase its stake in the insurance company AGROPOLISA (total revenue for premiums equivalent to around EUR 25 millions) from the present 23.3% to 49,9%. To this effect, the Belgian bank concluded an agreement with KREDIT BANK covering the buying of 91,577 shares. In total, KBC will have invested some EUR 7 million for the acquisition of AGROPOLISA.
