The French RHODIA acquired all the capital in the Italian company EVSIL which until then was jointly held with the Italian GIBITRE. Specialised in hot vulcanised silicon elastomers (VSE), used in the manufacturing of technical pieces for automobiles, household goods, food and medical appliances, EVSIL has an annual turnover of around EUR 16 million and employs 23 people.
