Nick Clegg proposes eliminating EU competence in a series of fields, including employment, health and sport, and to establish "ministers for Europe" permanently in Brussels

Brussels, 15/09/2000 (Agence Europe) - MEP Nick Clegg (British Liberal Democrat) makes a series of proposals in a report published by the Centre for European Reform, which would "strip away unnecessary EU responsibilities, increase the openness of decision-making, and cut back on ill-considered EU spending programmes".
