15/09/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission spokesperson felt on Friday that there were no major obstacles to the free movement of goods on the EU territory. The Belgian authorities have informed the Commission that road blocks set up to protest against the rise in oil prices have been cleared. A significant demonstration was still foreseen in the Hague on Friday, but the Dutch authorities have called on the police force to prevent road blocks, indicated the spokesperson.
