Commission pursues infringement proceedings against Several Member States infringing legislation on dangerous substances in water

Brussels, 15/09/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has decided to take a further legal step in the infringement proceedings engaged against three Member States - Greece, France and Ireland - which continue to not fully respect Community legislation relating to dangerous substances in water (Council Directive 76/464/EEC concerning pollution caused by certain dangerous substances spilt into water surfaces in the Community).
