Brussels, 26/07/2000 (Agence Europe) - The Commission announced on Wednesday its adoption of two draft Regulations to provide a framework for the liberalisation of public passenger transport services by rail, road and inland waterways. The first Regulation would create "controlled competition" to ensure that public service contracts concluded are limited to a five-year period as regards the award of exclusive rights and financial compensation for the aforementioned public transport services....
