European Commission considers it is 1,254 official short - 375 new posts could suffice

Brussels, 26/07/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission says it is 1,254 official short to accomplish its tasks and intends finding these positions within two years through internal reforms (dropping certain activities, fallout from its administrative reform, early-pension plan) as well as by taking on 717 new officials.
